Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday praised the quick thinking actions of two officers from its Central West Division that helped save a woman’s life on Saturday.

On June 10 at about 1:40 pm, officers from the divison were dispatched to Gilbert Street East and Ontario Street in Whitby for an unconscious female call.

The officers found the woman with no vital signs. They immediately began life saving measures, said a police statement.

Three doses of Narcan were administered as well as CPR, resulting in the woman reviving.

She was transported by ambulance to a local area hospital in stable condition.

“Well done!” said the DRPS to the officers.
