Contract awarded to replace Scugog picnic shelter

The Township of Scugog has contracted Onit Construction to replace the picnic shelter located in Joe Fowler Memorial Park.

The work involves demolition of the existing structure and construction of a new picnic shelter, said a municipal notice.

It said the work was scheduled to begin June 5, and is expected to be completed by early Fall 2023.

During the construction period, the northern part of the Joe Fowler parking lot will not be accessible as it will be occupied by construction equipment and materials to facilitate this project, said the notice.
