One pistol-whipping home invasion suspect held

Durham Police investigators have made an arrest in a violent home invasion that occurred in Pickering.

On February 10 at about 9:30 am, members of West Division responded to an address on Engel Court in Pickering after two males broke into a home and pistol whipped a female.

The males stole a quantity of items and may have fled in a blue Honda Civic. A female sustained facial injuries and was transported to local area hospital for treatment, said a police statement.

Police have arrested one male in connection to the home invasion. Two suspects remain outstanding.

The 26-year old from Toronto was charged and held for a bail hearing.
