Oshawa bar brawl victim critically hurt after hit in face

Durham Police yesterday said a male victim remains in hospital in critical but stable condition after a fight in North Oshawa.

On Saturday, June 10, the male suspect and victim were at The Canadian Brewhouse located at 2710 Simcoe Street North, Oshawa when a verbal altercation ensued.

The suspect concealed an object in his hand, using it to strike the victim in the face and knock him to the ground. The victim was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre where he remains in critical but stable condition, said a police statement.

The suspect, age 32, of Oshawa was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Investigators are encouraging anyone with information or video footage, including dashcam, to contact police.
