Oshawa pier at Lakeview Park to close until spring of 2025

The Hamilton Oshawa Port Authority (HOPA Ports) and the City of Oshawa yesterday announced that the pier at the Oshawa waterfront will be temporarily closed beginning Tuesday, October 15 at 8 am.

The closure is to accommodate required restorative work, said the announcement.

Visitors to Lakeview Park are requested to adhere to the temporary closure of the pier.

The city said it is working collaboratively with the HOPA Ports, and the pier is anticipated to reopen in the spring of 2025.

HOPA Ports owns the pier. The port and the City of Oshawa have a promenade agreement, allowing for public use of the pier on the west side of the Oshawa harbour.
