Rehab works on Bowmanville Creek’s Highway 401 bridge

The Municipality of Clarington has announced that the Ontario Ministry of Transportatiion will rehabilitate the west side of the Bowmanville Creek’s Highway 401 bridge.

The work is scheduled to start this week and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

“Starting the week of October 7, the Ministry of Transportation will begin rehabilitation work on the west side of the Bowmanville Creek Highway 401 bridge crossing,” said a municipal notice.

It said during the constructiom period, the Bowmanville Creek Valley Trail beneath the bridge will be reduced to a single lane.

Crews will occasionally move equipment and haul debris along the trail from the bridge to Baseline Road, with flagpersons on site as needed, the notice added.
