$2 million damage from arson attack on Oshawa street

Durham Police said the ‘suspicious’ Oshawa fire has resulted in extensive harm to multiple homes and damages are estimated to be in excess of $2-million.

Multiple suspects remain outstanding and no arrests have been made in relation to this incident at this time, police said

Investigators are asking anyone who lives in the area of Eddystone Path and Okanagan Path, in Oshawa to review security footage following the residential arson.

On Sunday, October 6, at about 5:10 am, members of Central East Division responded to a residential fire in the area of Eddystone Path and Okanagan Path, in Oshawa. Investigators have deemed the fire an arson and are looking for suspects.

The occupants of the residence were home at the time, and able to safely evacuate the residence. There were no physical injuries reported.

Investigators are appealing to anyone with cell phone, dashcam, surveillance footage, or information about this incident to contact D/Cst. Hutcheson of the Central East Division Criminal Investigations Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 2739.
