Oshawa shooters tracked; guns, ammo found in Airbnb

Durham Police said two males are facing charges after an investigation led to the seizure of handguns and drugs.

On Tuesday, October 29, at about 4:45 pm, members of Central East Division responded to the area of Normandy Street and Nevis Avenue, Oshawa, for multiple reports of gunshots. The victim had been sitting outside a residence, when the suspect fired at them, striking the residence. The suspect then ran into a nearby residence.

On Saturday, November 9, members of the DRPS Gun and Gang Unit (GGU), with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit (TSU), executed a search warrant at an Airbnb, in the Niagara on the Lake area, following a shooting investigation.

Two male suspects were located in the residence and taken into custody without incident. Two handguns, a replica firearm, ammunition, and a quantity of drugs were located and seized from the residence, police said.

A male, age 22, and another male, age 20, both from Oshawa were charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
