Durham Police are looking for a suspect after multiple gunshots were fired on Tuesday evening.
On October 29, at about 4:45 pm, members of Central East Division responded to the area of Normandy Street and Nevis Avenue, Oshawa, for multiple reports of gunshots. The victim had been sitting outside a residence, when the suspect fired at them, striking the residence. The suspect then ran into a nearby residence.
There were no physical injuries reported, police said.
Officers arrived on scene and located multiple shell casings in the area, and bullet holes in the front of a residence. The area was searched for the suspect, who had fled the scene.
On Wednesday, October 30, members of Central East Criminal Investigations Branch executed a search warrant on the residence the accused had initially run into. Four handgun magazines and rounds were seized.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a man, age 20, of Oshawa, for a number of offences. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
