Oshawa stabbing suspect in custody after week-long search

Durham police have arrested a male suspect in connection with a stabbing that took place in Oshawa last week (see below).

According to police, officers from Central East Division responded to reports of an armed person near Park Road North and Adelaide Avenue West on Tuesday, April 29, around 3:45 pm. When they arrived, they found a man with a stab wound to his arm. He was taken to a Toronto trauma centre with non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.

On Tuesday, May 6, at about 12:05 pm, a Central East Division officer located and arrested the suspect without incident.

A 32-year-old male, with no fixed address was charged and held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
