Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said a pedestrian has been struck by a vehicle and was transported to a local area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
It said the area of the collision on Simcoe Street North was closed between Windfields Farm Drive East and Northern Dancer.
Later a tweet said the road has been opened but police remain in the area and continue to investigate.
No further details were available till late last night.
