On Monday, August 5, at about 3:20 am, members of Central East Division responded to a possible impaired driver in the area of Rossland Road East and Harmony Road North, in Oshawa.
A male was unresponsive while seated in the drivers seat of his vehicle, with the engine still running, and the vehicle in drive.
Police arrived on scene and were able to safely turn the vehicle off and wake the driver up. The ddver showed signs of alcohol impairment and was taken into custody without incident.

The male completed two alcohol breath tests with results of 149 mg, and 139 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
The legal driving limit for alcohol consumption is 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. This driver blew almost twice the legal limit.
His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
