Patriotic card did not work for this driver

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is time and again reminding motorists not to hide or obscure their vehicle number plates.

One driver caught recently by DRPS officers tried to mount a Canadian Flag where the number plate on the truck should be. It didn’t work.

“North Division Traffic reminds drivers not to obscure or obstruct the licence plate on a motor vehicle, it needs to be clearly visible at all times,” said a tweet following the stop.

The incident likely occurred in Uxbridge.

No further details were released.

In January, both DRPS and Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) issued calls to drivers not to obstruct the licence plate of their vehicles.
