Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday warned drivers and vehicle owners to make sure that the vehicle number plate was clear of snow and visible before driving.
“Be sure to clear the snow from your vehicle, not only from the roof, windows, lights, hood, etc – MAKE SURE YOUR PLATE IS VISIBLE!” said an East Division tweet.
A similar message is being posted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Highway Safety Division.
“…if you HAVE to drive, make sure to clear your ENTIRE vehicle before heading out,” it said.
