Pedestrian knocked down on Consumers Drive

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) last night reported that a pedestrian had been struck in a collision in Whitby.

It said the westbound ramp at the intersection of Consumers Drive at 401 in Whitby had been closed for police investigation.

“Avoid the area,” said a DRPS tweet. It was reopened late last night.

Durham Police did not say if the victim suffered injuries and whether the driver stayed on the scene. Further details are awaited.
