Person arrested for threat against Port Perry school, all safe

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said there was no danger to the public after a threat was made towards a school in the Township of Scugog.

“Members in North Division are aware of a threat made toward Port Perry High School located at 160 Rosa Street,” said a police alert.

“The suspect who made the threat is in police custody and there is no concern for public safety. The school remains open,” police said.

It said further information will be released as it becomes available.

There was no further update till late last night.
