Pharmacies robbed in Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax – within minutes of each other

Durham Police is investigating three commercial robberies that occurred overnight in Oshawa, Whitby and Ajax.

On Wednesday, February 17 at about 6:49 pm, three males visited the Devon Pharmacy on Wilson Road North in Oshawa, jumped the counter and stole a quantity of narcotics before fleeing to a vehicle. None of the employees suffered any physical injuries, said a police statement.

At approximately 7 pm, it’s believed that the same suspects attended the Whitby Walk/In Medical Clinic on Brock Street and stole a quantity of narcotics before fleeing. No employees suffered any physical injuries.

Within minutes, the suspects attended the IDA Guardian Pharmacy on Church Street North in Ajax, assaulted one employee and stole a quantity of narcotics and fled to a dark SUV. One employee was taken to a local hospital with a head and facial injury, said the police.

The suspects are all described as three males, wearing masks. The vehicle was a dark-colored SUV.
