27-year-old driver clocked at 122 kmh in 60-zone

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday said a 27-year-old driver has lost his vehicle for two weeks.

He was clocked at 122 kmh in a posted 60 kmh zone in North Pickering – during wet road conditions.

Apparently, he told police he was late for work. “Being late for work is no excuse to be driving like this. Please slow down,” said the DRPS.

It said on February 17, a traffic Services officer stopped a Lexus in the hamlet of Green River.

The driver has been charged with Stunt Driving and Speeding.
