Police ask for help with new images from Whitby stabbing

Durham Police investigators are releasing photographs of a male suspect and vehicle of interest, from a stabbing that occurred on Friday, December 2.

Investigators are asking for assistance from the public in identifying a male suspect after a stabbing on December 2 at about 6:30 am.

Members of Central West Division responded to a stabbing incident near Dunlop Street East and Brock Street South. Officers located a 51-year-old male with life-threatening injuries. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma center. The suspect fled eastbound from Dunlop Street. Investigators are still looking into the motive for this incident.

The suspect is described as a short male with a small build. He wore all black clothing, including an Adidas t-shirt underneath his jacket and white shoes, said the police.

The vehicle is described as a black four door cross-over.

Investigators have attached surveillance photographs of the male suspect and vehicle. Anyone with new information about this investigation is asked to contact Det. Ormonde of Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 1827.
