Police find Victoria Day damage to homes

Durham Police are investigating after suspicious damage was located in a residential area in Whitby.

On Tuesday, May 25, members of Central West Division were called to a residence in the area of Chipperfield Crescent and Fallingbrook Street after a homeowner located minor damage to the front window. A second residence in the area was also found to have minor damage. The damage is believed to have occurred the previous evening while witnesses report hearing the sound of fireworks. The occupants inside the residences were not injured, police said.

It is unknown at this time whether the damage was caused by projectiles.
