Tactical unit called in to arrest double stabbing suspect

A 35-year old male has been arrested following the execution of a warrant in Oshawa, police said.

On Thursday, May 27, at approximately 2:50 am, members from Central East Criminal Investigations Bureau and Community Response Team, with the assistance of the Tactical Support Unit, executed a warrant at a residence on Celina Street. The suspect was taken into custody in relation to two separate stabbing incidents.

The first incident occurred on February 19, 2021, when officers were called to a local hospital for a victim who had sustained serious injuries as a result of being stabbed.

The second incident occurred on May 9, 2021, when officers were called to an apartment on Wentworth Street, for a victim who had sustained serious injuries to his face as a result of an assault with a knife.

Adam Odette, age 35, of Pine Avenue in Oshawa faces charges: Aggravated Assault x2; Assault with a Weapon x2; Carry Concealed Weapon x2 and Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public x2. He was held for a bail hearing.
