Police looking for driver who fled collision scene

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) are asking for any witnesses to come forward after a fail to remain collision yesterday morning at 6:40 near Altona and Taunton Road in Pickering.

There are no suspect vehicle descriptors at this time, said a police statement.

It said the collision involved two vehicles. A grey Toyota Corolla was turning westbound on Taunton Road from Altona Road when the suspect vehicle struck the front end of the Toyota.

The female driver suffered minor injuries as the other driver fled the scene.

Police is looking for any witnesses or anyone who may have a dash-cam video of the incident to contact Constable Mackay at 1-888-579-1520, ext 2521.
