Police looking for suspect in Oshawa stabbing

A male was sent to hospital with serious injuries after a stabbing in Oshawa over the weekend.

On Sunday, April 3 at around 12:45 am, officers from Central East Division attended the area of Simcoe Street South and John Street for an armed person call. A 31-year-old male was located with stab wounds. He was taken to a Toronto-area trauma hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. The suspect fled the area, said a police report.

The suspect is described as: male, White, approximately 6’-tall, thin build and wearing dark clothing.

The investigation is ongoing and police are awaiting surveillance footage from the area.

This victim is recovering because of the quick response by Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) Central East Division and Durham Paramedics, said a police tweet. ” We are committed to #CommunitySafety and senseless acts of violence like this have no place in our community. Please contact investigators if you have any information to help solve this,” it added.
