There have been several attacks at transit facilities in Toronto in recent past, but Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) reported one in Ajax yesterday.
Investigators are looking for a male suspect after a stabbing Tuesday afternoon at the Ajax GO Station.
On February 7 at about 2:20 pm, members of West Division responded to a stabbing incident at the Ajax GO station. Officers located a 23-year-old male suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition; however, his condition has since been downgraded to stable, said a police statement.
The suspect fled the area on foot. The K-9 unit as well as Air1 responded to the area; however, the suspect was not located.
The suspect is described as a male, Black with a thin build. He was wearing a red durag, large dark jacket and dark sneakers with a red accent, police said.
Anyone who witnessed this event or anyone that has video footage is asked to contact police, they added.

“Police are on scene at Ajax Go Station for an assault investigation,” said a police tweet yesterday.
One male has been transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre in life-threatening condition, it said.
In an update, it said one male has suffered stab wounds in relation to this incident. He is currently in stable condition.
