Police warning on ‘invisible’ vehicle number plates

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) has reminded drivers to ensure their vehicle number plates are clear enough to be readable.

North Division officers came across this vehicle (top image) in Beaverton in the Township of Brock.

“Police can not read this licence plate, can you?” asked a police tweet.

It said plates shall be kept free from dirt and obstruction so that the entire plate, including the numbers, is plainly visible at all times.

North Division officers also reported stopping several speeding drivers in Beaverton.

These drivers (below) were caught speeding in a 50 kmh zone in Beaverton. Please obey speed limit, said the police.

Meanwhile, we reported yesterday that DRPS said they could find a speeding driving at any time along Winchester Road and Country Line, in the Town of Whitby.

To prove they point, they did – again (see below).

DRPS Traffic Services yesterday said maybe a set of traffic lights would slow down these aggressive drivers.
