Domestic assault suspect ditches weapon, but nose knows…

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) K-9 Unit reported another successful outing – finding a knife buried in snow.

Its officers, PC Dunlop and K-9 Taz, were dispatched to assist Oshawa officers locate a discarded knife.

A domestic assault suspect attempted to ‘ditch’ the crime weapon.

K-9 Taz was deployed and promptly sniffed out the suspect’s discarded knife under six (6) inches of snow.

“Case closed,” said the K-9 Unit.
