Porsche SUV crashes off the road and catches fire, two hurt

Durham police yesterday said two people suffered serious injuries following a single vehicle collision in Uxbridge.

On Wednesday, May 6 at about 3:55 am, members of North Division responded to a single vehicle collision in the area of Allbright Road and Uxbridge Concession Road 6.

A 26-year-old male was driving a Porsche SUV eastbound on Allbright Road when it left the roadway landing in the woods. Both the driver and the 24-year-old female passenger were able to exit the vehicle before it caught fire.

They were transported to a local area hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries. The driver has since been released from hospital. The female has been transferred to a Toronto-area trauma centre, police said.

Members of the DRPS – Collision Investigation Unit, attended the scene to conduct an investigation into the circumstanced of the incident. This collision is still under investigation.
