The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) has advised that funeral services for Constable in Training Tyrone Magbitang will be held privately at the request of his family on Friday, July 17.
If anyone would like to pay tribute to CIT Magbitang, they can sign the online book of condolences.
Attendance at the funeral service will be limited to family members, friends, and members of the first responder community.
DRPS said it remains deeply grateful for the outpouring of support received from the community, policing partners, and first responders across the country.
DRPS Constable in Training Tyrone Magbitang was killed in a collision on July 7 near the Ontario Police College in Malahide township in Elgin County in southwestern Ontario.
Another Constable in Training, who has not been named and who was travelling with Magbitang, suffered life-threatening injuries at the time
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
