Raid in Clarington unearths $90,000 in drugs, cash

Durham Police said a quantity of drugs and currency has been seized after police executed a search warrant in Clarington.

On Friday, November 24, members from the East Division Community Response Team, in collaboration with Central West Division Community Response Team and the Drug Enforcement Unit, concluded an investigation into alleged drug trafficking in Clarington.

A search warrant was executed at a residence in the area of Nash Road and Varcoe Road and resulted in the seizure of a significant amount of Canadian and American currency, as well as drugs, totaling over $90,000 in value. Two individuals were arrested without incident, police said.

A male, age 37, of Clarington, and a female, age 43, of Whitby have been charged and held for a bail hearing. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
