Rain and snow may impact rush hour traffic

Environment Canada has warned a wintry mix of snow and icy rain may impact rush hour trafric.

In an advisory issued at 8:44 am today, the agency said snow or ice pellet amounts of 2 to 5 cm are expected.

It warned of a risk of freezing rain through this morning.

“There may be an impact on rush hour traffic. Roads and walkways may be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow or ice pellets. There is risk of injury due to slips and falls,” the weather agency said.
