Restrictions on Bloor in Clarington to last until Oct 31

The Region of Durham is advising residents of lane restrictions on Bloor Street (Regional Road 22) in the Municipality of Clarington.

These were scheduled to starting this week (September 21) and will last until October 31. Unfavourable weather conditions may impact the work schedule, the region said.

Lane restrictions start from 100 metres east of Prestonvale Road to 540 metres east of Prestonvale Road, in Courtice.

These are needed to safely repave the street.

The region said it realizes that the work may be disruptive and will make every effort to complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible. Drivers are asked to exercise caution for the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and work crews.

Businesses in the area will remain open during construction, it added.
