Hundreds of classic vehicles will line downtown Oshawa streets for everyone to admire when Kars on King returns on Friday, August 23 from 3:30 pm to 9 pm.
The City of Oshawa hosts Kars on King, a free downtown event featuring various vehicle makes and models dating back to 1991 and older and welcomes partner activations from the Canadian Automotive Museum, Tribute Communities Centre and Oshawa Tourism.
This year, the City is celebrating its 100th anniversary. To mark the centennial, vehicles made in Oshawa will be provided with special identifications to display in their vehicles. For the latest updates on the Centennial celebrations, visit Oshawa.ca/100 or email culturecounts@oshawa.ca.
Something for everyone
Admission to the event is free. Kars on King features free, fun activities for all ages, including:
- classic car displays
- live entertainment on the Main Stage at the four corners of downtown Oshawa (King Street and Simcoe Street)
- opening ceremonies on the Main Stage at 5 pm
- children’s entertainers, crafts, animal exhibits and more at Memorial Park (near Simcoe Street and Metcalfe Street)
- community displays
- sponsor activations
- strolling buskers
- a wide variety of culinary choices from various downtown Oshawa restaurants
