Three Durham non-profits getting $234,100 Ontario grant

The Ontario government is providing three non-profit organizations in Durham Riding with $234,100 in funding this year.

The Ontario Trillium Foundation’s (OTF) Capital grant aims to make it easier for residents to access critical programming, activities and spaces that make Durham a great place to live, work and play.

In Durham Riding, organizations receiving funding include:

  1. Autism Home Base,
  2. Bethesda House, and
  3. Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham

“Our government believes organizations like Autism Home Base, Bethesda House and Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Durham enrich the lives of people in Durham Riding and play an important role in building a strong and prosperous economy in Ontario. That’s why I am proud that they are receiving capital funding support,” said Todd McCarthy, MPP for Durham. “These organizations are pillars of our community, and this support will serve the people of Durham Riding and continue to make a positive difference.”

OTF’s Capital grant stream helps organizations improve their infrastructure so they can continue delivering programs and services that Ontarians need to thrive. Whether it’s purchasing equipment, building a new space or completing renovations, retrofits or repairs, these grants support projects that are making a difference in Durham.

These capital grants are part of the more than $28 million supporting 291 local programs and services that help deliver critical community programming across the province.
