Road rage leads to assault, suspect let go on undertaking

Durham police yesterday reported a road rage incident in Ajax which led to one man behind bars for assault.

On Friday, May 1, around 3:50 pm in the area of Kingston Road West and Westney Road South, the drivers of two vehicles were engaged in a road rage altercation.

The suspect subsequently stopped his vehicle in front of the victim’s vehicle and approached the victim on foot. The suspect assaulted the victim through his vehicle window before fleeing the area in his vehicle.

On Saturday, May 2, members of West Division identified and located the suspect, who was taken into custody without incident.

The 35-year old man from Ajax was released on an undertaking. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
