Rouge Valley Park closed from today until July this year

Those who were thinking of immersing themselves in nature closer to home this early summer will be disappointed to learn that Rouge Valley Park will be a no-go area until at least July this year.

The City of Pickering has issued a notice of temporary Rouge Valley Park closure to facilitate the carrying out of park improvements.

The park will be closed to the public from today (Monday, May 4th) till July 2nd, said a city announcement.

“Rouge Valley Park will be temporarily closed at 1066P Rouge Valley Drive for reconstruction, including a new basketball court, asphalt pathway connections, shade structure, site furnishings, and deciduous trees,” the announcement said.
