Seven people hurt in two Durham collisions

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported a serious multiple vehicle crash in Pickering in which at least six people are reported to have been hurt.

The collision took place yesterday afternoon in Pickering, reports said.

“Currently at a 3-vehicle collision at Lakeridge Road and Winchester. Please avoid the area as we respond with the O.P.P.,” said a brief DRPS tweet.

Earlier in the day, DRPS reported another collision in Whutby in which another person was injured.

“Collision at Victoria St W and Henry St in Whitby. Expect delays as we investigate the collision. One patient was extricated and taken to local hospital. Injuries are non-life threatening,” said the DRPS.

“We will be in the process of removing the vehicles involved in this collision. Please use an alternate route. Henry St and Victoria St in Whitby is partially closed. One male patient at local hospital,” it added.
