The Regional Municipality of Durham is advising residents of road closures and traffic restrictions starting from today in several parts of Durham including Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa and Clarington.
Pickering: It said there will be lane restrictions on Seventh Concession Road in the City of Pickering.
Daily lane restrictions will be in place for road rehabilitation work, which will last until November 15, from west of Sideline 14 to Westney Road (Regional Road 31).
Ajax and Whitby: There will be lane restrictions on Lake Ridge Road in the towns of Ajax and Whitby from September 5 to 8.
Restrictions will be from north of Kingston Road to south of Rossland Road, to safely complete asphalt patch repairs.
Oshawa: The Regional Municipality announced lane restrictions on Harmony Road North (Regional Road 33) in the City of Oshawa, from September 11 to December 2.
Restrictions will be in place daily on Harmony Road North, from one kilometre to 1.5 kilometres north of Conlin Road East, to safely construct turning lanes and concrete medians to support new development.
Clarington: The Municipality announced several restrictions in Clarington.
It said there will be lane restrictions on Bowmanville Avenue from September 5 to 22, from 130 metres north of Concession Road 4 to 265 metres south of Taunton Road, in Clarington.
It is to safely complete road shoulder paving.
The Regional Municipality also announced lane restrictions on Liberty Street from September 5 to 22, from Concession Road 4 to south of Taunton Road, in Clarington.
It is to safely complete road shoulder paving.
There are also lane restrictions on Taunton Road, from 320 metres east of Bowmanville Avenue to west of Liberty Street.
