Sex offender breaks release conditions by speaking to minor

A convicted predator was found breaching his release conditions by communicating with a person under 16 years of age.

The 40-plus year old man has been charged with failing to comply with his court-imposed release order after being convicted of sexual offences against a child.

On Monday, June 22, members from East Division received information that a man was breaching his conditions.

Through investigation, officers confirmed that the male is bound by a court-imposed order, which prohibits him from being in the company of or communicating with anyone under 16-years-of-age.

Officers were able to confirm the male violated this order and he was arrested without incident.

The man from Oshawa. He was held for a bail hearing. Name and picture available at www.drps.ca.
