Speeding with weed, booze, cocaine, meth and fake cash…

A Brampton man is facing multiple charges after police seized drugs, alcohol, and counterfeit money during a traffic stop in Ajax, according to Durham police.

On Monday, June 30, members of the Central West Division were conducting proactive patrols in the area of Highway 401 and Salem Road South when they observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and discovered open alcohol and cannabis inside the vehicle. A further search led to the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, and counterfeit currency.

The 29-year-old male driver was arrested and charged. Police did not say whether the suspect was held for bail or released for an undertaking.
