Stolen Camaro, excavator and more recovered

Durham Police investigators located a stolen excavator, Chevrolet Camaro and other construction tools as part of a property crimes investigation in North Durham.

Through the spring/summer of 2022, members of North Division conducted an investigation into stolen construction/landscaping tools. Police arrested two suspects and seized a mini excavator, 1968 Chevrolet Camaro and numerous types of construction/landscaping tools, said a police statement.

A suspect from Uxbridge and another from Stouffville have been charged. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.

Both suspects were held for a bail hearing.

Police are urging rural property owners and construction companies to take extra measures to securing their property.
