Death of 63-year old woman deemed suspicious

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) officers are investigating a suspicious death in the community of Leaskdale, north of Uxbridge.

On Friday, November 13 at about 12:40 am, North Division Officers were called to a residence on Regional Road 13 near Concession Road 7 in Uxbridge Township. The husband of a 63-year-old female had arrived home and located his wife deceased in the residence. He called 911 and commenced CPR. Paramedics and police arrived and the female was pronounced deceased, said a police statement.

The coroner attended the scene and could not determine a cause of death. A post mortem will be scheduled. Given the unknown cause of the death, at this time the death has been deemed suspicious. The investigation continues.
