Durham Police yesterday said three males are wanted after they attempted to coerce a youth into their vehicle in Ajax.
On Tuesday, July 23, at about 2:15 pm, members of West Division responded to an abduction call in the area of Griffiths Drive and Wickens Crescent.
A 10-year-old boy was walking home from a friend’s residence when a dark coloured four-door sedan, occupied by three males, stopped alongside him.
The males in the vehicle called for the 10-year-old to come to their vehicle. When the 10-year-old ignored the suspects, they drove their vehicle onto a driveway in the victim’s path and attempted to coerce him into their car. The victim was able to flee on foot and return to his residence, said a police report.
The victim did not sustain any physical injuries.
The first suspect is described as: male, Brown, approximately 18-25 years-old, with curly black hair.
The second suspect is described as: male, Brown, approximately 15-20 years-old, with curly medium length hair.
The third suspect is described as: male, Brown, approximately 15-20 years-old, with curly hair and a small beard.
