Durham Police yesterday said a male has been arrested after an investigation into an armed robbery in Oshawa.
On Wednesday, June 5 at about 12:10 am, members of Central East Division responded to a robbery at the convenience store located on Park Road North.
A male entered the store and took vape products without paying. When an employee confronted the suspect for payment, the suspect showed the employee a firearm in his waistband and exited. The suspect fled the area prior to police arrival. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries, said the police.
On Thursday, July 4, 2024, the Robbery Unit concluded their investigation and took the suspect into custody without incident. A search of the suspect also revealed numerous drugs in his possession.
The suspect, age 21 from Oshawa was charged, police said. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
