Some three kilos of fentanyl, a loaded firearm stolen from the US and a replica Uzi firearm were located following a search warrant executed by DRPS.
Two males and two females are facing charges following a Guns and Gangs Unit investigation.
On Friday, July 17, investigators with the DRPS Guns and Gangs Unit concluded an investigation into a man believed to be in possession of a firearm and involved in drug trafficking.
The suspect and a woman were located in a vehicle in Ajax and taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle found over 3 kg of suspected fentanyl.
Investigators, with the assistance of the Drug Enforcement Unit, later executed a search warrant at a residence in Pickering. A second woman was located in the residence and taken into custody without incident.
A loaded firearm with prohibited overcapacity magazine and a replica Uzi firearm were located in the residence. The loaded firearm was confirmed stolen from Georgia, USA.
On Sunday, July 19, a fourth outstanding suspect turned himself into police.
The suspects are a 25-year old man from Pickering, a 32-year old woman from Ajax, a 27-year old woman from Pickering and a 25-year old man from Pickering, were held for a bail hearing. Name and further details available at www.drps.ca.
