Three Rams seized in a day, thieves let go on undertaking

Three Dodge Ram trucks were seized in Durham region in about 10 hours, according to Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS).

It said three suspects were arrested in three stolen vehicle incidents.

On Thursday, October 20 at about noon. members of East Division were dispatched to the area of Highway 407 and Enfield Road, Clarington, after receiving reports that a 2021 Dodge Ram truck that was stolen earlier in the day from Toronto was in the vicinity. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and safely have the vehicle come to a stop. The male driver was taken into custody and the truck was returned to the owner, said a police statement.

On the same day at about 2:30 am members of Central East Division were dispatched to the area of Stevenson Road South and Phillip Murray Avenue, Oshawa, regarding a 2022 Dodge Ram truck that was stolen out of a driveway. Officers were able to locate the vehicle a short distance away and safely have the vehicle come to a stop. The male driver was taken into custody and the truck was returned to the owner.

Later, at around 5 am members of East Division were dispatched to the area of Longworth Avenue and Liberty Street North, Clarington regarding a 2021 Dodge Ram truck that was stolen out of a driveway. Officers were able to locate the vehicle a short distance away and safely have the vehicle come to a stop. The male driver was taken into custody and the truck was returned to the owner, police said.

The three suspects from Quebec were charged and released on an Undertaking. Names and further details available at www.drps.ca.
