Two take off with stolen phones in waiting getaway car

Three suspects are wanted for the robbery of a cellphone store in Ajax last Thursday evening.

On December 23 at approximately 7 pm, members of West Division responded to a robbery at the Freedom Mobile store on Westney Road. Two suspects entered the store and made a demand for cellphones and fled on foot with the property. The suspects got into a lighter-coloured sedan driven by a third suspect, said a police statement.

None of the staff members were physically injured during the incident.

The suspects, are described as two Black males, approximately 18-25 years of age. One suspect had a black hooded sweater, black track pants, black/white shoes and a face mask. The second male had a blue camouflaged hooded sweater, ripped jeans, orange/yellow shoes and a face mask.

The suspect vehicle is described as a light-coloured sedan. Investigators are looking for any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam video from the area of the plaza at Westney Road and McGill Drive at the time of the robbery.
