Car crash causes natural gas leak in Bowmanville

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) yesterday reported that a part of Bowmanville road in Clarington had been closed after a natural gas leak was noticed.

A brief tweet said the road closure was due to a motor vehicle accident which resulted in a natural gas leak.

Liberty Street South between King Street East and Queen Street in Bowmanville was closed. Please avoid the area, the tweet said.

It added that staff from utility firm, Enbridge Gas, were enroute to the scene.

The incident was reported during the day. However, till today morning no further details were released.
