GO Transit has announced it has been given permission to reopen a track at Rouge Hill GO station.
“Trains will be moving through the area shortly,” it said in a tweet addressed to Lakeshore East customers.
The update follows the death of a person on the tracks, which led to the stoppage of the trains during the ensuing police investigation.
Lakeshore East commuters were ferried yesterday by bus.
The station had to be closed when a railway worker died on the Lakeshore East Line in an accident last November 27 (click here for story). Work had to be stopped for Labour Ministry investigation.
