Taz tracks and locates man wanted for domestic assault

Durham Regional Police Service K-9 Unit was at the fore again, this time helping apprehend a domestic assault suspect.

Last week, PC Dunlop, K9 Taz  and officers from the Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) Central West Division teamed up for the hunt.

They were on the scent of a man wanted for a domestic related assault.

After a 1 km track in extremely hot and difficult conditions, K9 Taz sniffed out the suspect trying to conceal himself under a tree, said a K-9 Unit tweet.

One mark was taken into custody, it added.
