Two held for four break-ins, woman released

Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) said a male and female have been arrested for four separate incidents of commercial break-and-enters in Sunderland and Scugog.

Members of DRPS North Division Criminal Investigation Bureau concluded an investigation into four separate commercial break-and-enters that occurred between March 21 and April 10.

A male and female suspect attended various businesses throughout the Township of Scugog and Town of Sunderland where they forcibly gained entry and stole a variety of items. There were no employees at the businesses during these incidents, said a police statement.

A Search Warrant was executed on a residence and one of the vehicles associated to the two suspects. Clothing and tools used in the incidents were seized.

One suspect was held for a bail, while the other was released on an undertaking.
